Beginner Park on track for busy Summer at Dirt Park NZ

The crew at Dirt Park has been hard at work moving dirt, building jumps and erecting feature fro New Zealand's newest freestyle mountain bike park, which opens in less than two weeks. In particular, recent days have been spent developing a novice area with beginner features and jumps in an effort to open up the sport and the Dirt Park to new riders.

'The idea is to offer terrain for all levels of mountain bikers, especially focusing on getting new riders up to try some of the freestyle features. The rest of the terrain allows for a natural progression into more intermediate and advanced riding throughout the summer season' commented Claire Jackson, brand manager for Dirt Park.

The park's fixed quad chairlift will access the majority of the purpose built tracks in the basin of the resort.

A bonus 6km freestyle/downhill track that covers 500 metres of vertical drop down the face of the mountain is also near completion. Separate from the chairlift-accessed terrain at the resort, riders can purchase a year long membership or single day use pass to access the track.

Dirt Park open on Decemeber 16th for the summer season. All tracks and features are designed and built by Wanaka's 'Four four three' crew.
